THOSE WHO EAT WITHOUT LANDING A HAND
Farming an old way of growing vegetation done by both man and women. With the way         technology has taken our by storm, one would think that farming would not still be                           existing in our modern society. Funny how no one wants to work hard and farm but when                  the food garden is ready the ones who were lazy to farm are always the one going hard on the              vegetation.

WORKING WITH FARMERS AND THE EXPERIENCE
Working with farmers was a rather challenging and also a very interesting experience for me. One of the farmers was Mr Maluleke who has a certificate in agriculture and is currently studying business administration in UNISA. When we first got to the farm Mr Maluleke showed us around and introduced us to some of the farmers that were present on the day and every one was really nice and welcoming. Based on the fact that i have done farming in my life, i found this to be very challenging for me because i am Johannesburg South and i have never been exposed to farming before. There were a lot of tasks that i struggled with, for example, i didn't know how deep the hole should be before you can you can actually start planting your seeds, of cause the farmers had experience so they could see that i needed some help and they were very helpful but still it was hard. Lets face it i'm lazy and having to work for long while bending and doing some cleaning on the farm, my back couldn't really take it.

The experience wasn't all that bad all that bad because even though it was hard i got to have some fun and i also got to some farming skills of which i use because i now have a food garden which was started by me. I also got to learn the importance of farming and how it can be a source of income by selling the vegetation. Because of the experience, i am able now in a process of teaching my brother how to make a food garden so that he can start his own.

YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT 2015

WORKING ON A GROUP ON AN UNEMPLOYMENT CAMPAIGN

When working on a youth unemployment campaign as a group i got to develop my skills such as, writing, media engagement, client/stakeholder relationship management, campaign development and strategy.

                             WRITING
Having good Public Relations skills such as writing is very important when working on a campaign. Spelling is very important in PR because if people can't read your work they don't give it much attention and take you for an amateur,  I have learnt to proper structure my work and have the correct grammar. In PR double checking your work is very important.

I got to improve my skills such as being able to post relevant topics that will be relevant to people using some of the leading mediums such as Facebook and twitter just to name a few. Engaging with your followers so you can be able to know their views and comments. Also monitoring the response by the people.

                             CLIENT/STAKEHOLDER RELATIONSHIP

In PR your campaign will only be considered a success if its key stakeholders perceive the campaigns outcome as a success. When working with a group i got the experience to influence stakeholders to be part of a campaign. How to build and manage stakeholder relationship. I am now able to do a proper research on clients or stakeholders in order to meet their needs and wants.

                           CAMPAIGN DEVELOPMENT
By working with a group i am now able to make a proper analysis of the issue at hand and able to come up with strategies that will have my campaign to be taken seriously not only by the people who are targeted but by individuals as a whole. Planning the campaign in terms of what i want to achieve fro it, the feedback i want and the whole process of raising the issue. I now have the skills of monitoring the feedback such as finding out how many people know about my campaign,

                           STRATEGY
Each and every campaign needs to have a strategy that will make it a success. I am able to choose an influential person to be part of  my campaign because people look up to influential people. I now have the skill to influence people in making decisions that will benefit them. I also have the skill of making people see my vision of how the future will be once the issue has been dealt with.
